Description:
ABAMEC is a mixture of avermectins containing more than 80% avermectin B1a and less than 20% avermectin B1b. These two components, B1a and B1b have very similar biological and toxicological properties. ABAMEC is a highly effective insecticide and miticide, Controling Colorado potato beetles, leafminers, mites, and pinworms. It can be used on apples, bell peppers, celery, citrus, cucurbits, grapes, head lettuce, hops, nuts, pears, potatoes, strawberries, and tomatoes and for control of fire ants in bearing and nonbearing almonds and citrus.

Toxicology Information
The oral LD50 for abamectin in rats is 11 mg/kg, and in mice range from 14 to > 80 mg/kg. The dermal LD50 for technical abamectin on rats and rabbits is > 330 mg/kg.
